Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two roles on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mother. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she turned an adult, for fear of the negative effects that stress could be able to have on their daughter. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved from Boston University. Perry made her debut as an actress in New York after graduation, getting small role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California and pursue a career as a stage actress. She appeared on Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. She also played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The role was given an audition to the actress, despite the fact that she has a family tie to the role.
