Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. She also sings. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by many people in America. In her 9th grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised during an audition. It not only increased her confidence, but also her goals were changed. In 1992, she received her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. But her biggest break came when she starred in the part of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway show Spamalot winning not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In the following year she was cast in the role of Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. A singer by profession, she's also produced a single as well as an extended work. Also, she's spoken out in support of LGBT concerns.
